    School
Well, the newness finally wore off this week. I had to really crack down on one class, but once I showed them that I mean business they behaved really well. It was almost spooky how quiet they were.
Eric has a group project due, so we are going over to one of the group members house to eat tonight.
The turtle is doing well and has learned how to swim in deep water.

    Fall
This morning the air finally feels like fall. It makes me feel like doing something that takes a great deal of effort. I can't wait to get back to school tomorrow. I love jumping around like middle schooler all day (well most of the time).
I am trying to get back into the habit of working out and have also started practicing piano seriously again. It always seems to be that fall is the time when I make resolution, not New Years. We will see how long it lasts, but for now it is awesome.

    Chicago
Things are starting to come together. Tomorrow the piano is getting tuned and I have a meeting with a potencial student on Saturday. I have been teaching Eric Solfeggietto by CPE Bach-which has been kinda neat. He is really enthusiastic and practicing hard :-D
I have mostly been getting things ready for school and trying to get the house in order before I start working.

    Getting Started Posting Again
    Hello World,
After a long break I am trying to start journaling again.
The two most exciting things to happen here lately are that I got a piano (thanks Grandma) and started my new job. The piano is awsome. It has just the right touch that I like, although we still need to get it tuned.
The first week on the job was pretty good. Found out that I was not the only one having trouble finding a job and that there are a lot of teachers looking for jobs right now in Illinois. That made me feel alot better and it seems like the job will be really good. I will be teaching fifth and sixth grade general music.

    Smart
    Moody
    Driven

    I survived!
This semester is finally over!!! I am so happy to be done. It was my last semester of real classes, so next semester I will just be student teaching- which will be so nice. What makes me happy as well is that I got one B and the rest As or Ps on the pass/fail classes. This is amazing because halfway through the semester I wasn't even sure that I would be able to pass everything. Some semesters I have been able to just sort of coast through, but this semester was definately earned and earned hard. I feel sooo happy :-D Comming home has been nice too. I got to sleep for 13 hours last night and I feel ever so much better. YAY!

Tonight Eric and I went to go see the Aquilla Theater put on a production of Romeo and Juliet. The twist was that they all learned every part of the play and drew lots to see who would play the different parts. The cute guy did play Romeo, but Juliet was played by an old man. It was really wierd. I guess that they were trying to recreate the way it was done in Shakespear's time when men played women's parts. It probably also kept it fresh for the actors since they weren't playing the same part every night. In short, weird.

Last week I started teaching in the schools part of the time. It has actually been kinda helpful. I really like working with the kids and it helps me remember, oh yeah that why I am going through all this now. I am auditioning for the President's COncert tomorrow, I don't really think I will make it since I have a cold and it is really hard to get in, but I do know my piece really well, and I know I can play it well, so I am not too nervous.

    lots o work
Right now I feal like everything is comming to a point. My recital, which I have been preparing for for a very long time, is almost here. Trying to prepare has been rather stressful, but I have my clearence this Wednesday, and if I pass that should take some of the stress off for a couple weeks. My education classes are also winding up to the point where I will go out and teach in about a week I will be going to a school in Myersdale PA every morning, which is going to be hard as I am going to have to leave quite early to get there. With graduation life will also change alot with getting married and finding a job. With so many credits and two jobs and recital and Dr. Dixon's project and just everything else going on I will be glad when this semester is over and I can actually spend time with people again.

    Moving in
Yay! Finally almost all the way moved in. Friday Eric and I moved in all of our stuff, which was easier then I thought it would be and then uppacked some and went for a walk. It was nice to just hang out around FSU. Yesterday we helped people connect to the internet. I think the most interesting problem that I had was trying to help a foreign exchange student set up her mac which was in French. Figured out she didn't have a password because she didn't have a social security number. Well I am off to church.

    Wedding Dress!!
I finally found the perfect dress yesterday. Planning a wedding is a lot more complicated then I thought, so I am really glad to have this part out of the way. I can't describe it since Eric reads this, but it is really really pretty.

    Engaged!!!!
Last Monday Eric proposed. He took me to the planitarium and asked me to listen to him go through his presentation since he is running the planatarium in May. He went throuh his presentation and then we just sat and looked at the stars while he played our song (Angels Fall Down by Skillet) on an MP3 player. Then he said, "Oh yeah I forgot one question." And then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him... I said yes!

I met with Dr. Dixon yesterday about my honors project, which is that I am going to make a powerpoint thing for these songs based on the Psalms. It will be a multimedea event! We also worked out what songs I will prolly do for my senior recital, which will be October 21.

    School so far
Well, this has been a year of contradictions so far. I am not taking as many credits, and in some ways it has been good for me, but it has been harder for me to buckle down and do things when I need to... strange. I am doing surpirsingly good in my classes, probably because I am not so stressed, and piano is going pretty good. I did the schoolership auditions today and they went well- I was really worried I was going to crash and burn.

    Snow!
Yesterday it snowed, and acually stuck! It would have been alot more fun if I didn't have classes and work all day and could go out and just enjoy it, but it was pretty anyway.
Since school started I have had a recital or some other kind of performance almost every week. It must be working since I am starting to not get nearly as nervous anymore. Matt got this really neat game called settlers for his birthday and he, Christine, Eric and I have been playing it quite a bit here lately. I really like doing stuff the four of us, cuz it is just so much fun!
Well, I had better get started on my homework...
